Suspended gateman sued over Mirsharai train mishap

A body of evidence has been documented against Saddam Hossain, a Bangladesh Railway (BR) gateman, for a situation recorded over his carelessness that brought about the passings of 11 individuals as a train slammed into a microbus in Chattogram's Mirsharai on Friday.

Chattogram Railway Police Assistant Inspector Zahirul Islam documented the case on Saturday (July 30) on the charge of carelessness.

Prior on Friday (July 29) evening, Saddam Hossain was captured by the police from Baratokia region. In the interim, Saddam Hossain has been suspended by the Railways.

On Friday at 1.30 pm, the Mahanagar Prabhati Express from Dhaka to Chattogram smashed a microbus conveying vacationers and removed it a kilometer. Eleven individuals kicked the bucket on the spot and six others were harmed.

The casualties were occupants of East Khandkia town of Amanbazar in Hathazari Upazila of Chattogram. The departed, barring the driver, are instructors and understudies of a neighborhood training focus. They went out traveling to Mirsharai's Khaiyachhara Jharna by the microbus.

Observers and train travelers claimed that there was no sign or boundary as there was no gateman at the site of the mishap.
